I've been trying eyetoy: kinetic. So far I've only used it twice, really. I have all those problems that eye toy games have, but this one is at least engagin enough that I want to figure out how to fix them (besically it's very lighting sensitve and it wants me to be further away from the TV than I can phsycially be.) It's basically like a bunch of work out videos wrapped up into one. The games feel like once I get a little more used to them (you should see how horrible I am at dodging boucning balls) and fix the eye toy problems that there will be a lot of elegance in my movements. Both a energetic and lengthing workout. I think for me the most important thing is that it expects me back 3 times a week. It's also good that games randomize to keep things a little fresher than one might expect from an ordinary work out video.
I don't feel like I'm getting quite the work out that DDR gave me, but it has lots of good things like stretching afterwards, focusing on breathing and better incorporation of the whole body. I don't know if it will be enough to offset my snail-like motabolism, but I think it's definately worht trying to stick with it. I should just supliment it with DDR on the off days... or at least think really hard about doing that.
I picked it up, with the camera (couldn't find it without), for $30 and I think it's got more than three exercises videos worth of content, so I'm pretty happy with the price.
