Babies are cute with a bunch of caveats. Like, after they are old enough to smile, when they're not crying (ideally when they're sleeping), when they have hair, when they have grown a little and aren't newborn-wrinkly, etc.

Everyone thinks kittens are cute.
Hence, they are superior to babies.

Sez you! Kittens are naturally adept at textiles, cord making and the testing of computer mice and lazer pointers.

but do kittens sweat?

Point. They just pant. But then babies just kind of heat up and die. It's really young children that do the best sweating.

I like the phrase "pant shop" for a kitten sweat shop.

Babies are intrinsically cute to their parents; the evolutionary advantages of this should be obvious :-)
