adventure! Origami

Me and a friend went to the essex muesum to see the origami exhibit. Walking in, I saw paper butterflies, to which I remarked "I want to learn to make those" meaning in the long future, but they had little teaching videos, so I walked out with my own, made by me, butterfly, which gave me a bit of child-like happiness.

The exhibit was fun. I think one of the cooler examples was this kracken attacking a boat, because it included that pattern beside it. (the one we saw was actually bigger, but I like the little victim.)

Interestingly there were credits for designers, folders and co-folders. There was also a technique called wet-folding which seemed to allow for more expersiveness. It's really amazing what they could do. This wasn't at the exhibit, but things like it were:
