Elph woes
My digital camera has started to flake on it's mode switch, randomly switching between photo and movie mode.

Does anyone know if there is an easy fix to this?

Alternately, does anyone have any recommendations for a small digital camera that doesn't have the color blanace/flash issues that the digital elph has (or news that it's improved over the years)? I'm looking for very cheap. ~$150.

If you're not in a hurry, I've got a very small Sony 5MP camera that you can have. The time issue is that some of the connectors for it are buried somewhere in the boxes that haven't moved to California yet, so I won't have access to them until July.

Hm... That might be very nice. I know little about the sonys. Do you know how much optical zoom it has?

Also, don't go too much trouble. $150 can get me 7MP now... though I have been trying to be a bit more careful with my money on luxaries, so it might be a good thing for me to consider yours.

I very much appricate the offer, regardless.

Actually, I stumbled on the cables while packing for my trip last week (looking for the voltage converter), so if you want I can bring it with me when I'm in Boston late in June, or just mail it to you.

Thank you!

No, it's not worth the trouble to mail it, since my current one is still working, even if it's flaking out.

I'm also looking seriously at DSLRs, so I might have found a good deal by June.

yay awesome friends!
