Had an MRI. They left me in my clothes. Good thing I didn't have an underwire, because I forgot about the metal in my bra. Learning meditation made the 30 minutes in the tube go much more easily. (The music head phones didn't work because my neck was too short, or something.) Mostly it was super noisy.

When I got an MRI, I asked them for the records. They gave me a CD-ROM with some random stuff.

In the process of trying to figure out how to read it on my Mac, I downloaded OsiriX, and after poking at the various UI widgets for ten minutes or so, I was doing a fly-through of a 3D reconstruction of my torso, and could rotate, pan, and zoom the model just by moving the mouse.

I have no idea if there's anything like that for Windows, but you might look around. Not only does it help you understand how the images mesh together to form solids, it's simply pretty freaking awesome to see.

At least they didn't put you into the machine that erases as it scans.
